KATAJO (27) Job Fair in Vietnam
2024.12.24
Marciella here!
Last October, Nasu-san, Risky-san, and I went to the Vietnam Job Fair. We arrived in Hanoi the day before the event since we wanted to know about the area, as it was our first time visiting Vietnam.
The weather in Hanoi at that time was similar to Tokyo’s, so it was nice to walk outside. However, it was a crowded city, just like my hometown, Jakarta (Indonesia)! The biggest cultural shock I experienced there was their traffic – it was total chaos like we had to pay attention to every step we took.
The next day, we attended an orientation at Hanoi University of Industry. Nasu-san, as the representative, gives a brief introduction about KMF. There were four other companies representing themselves as well. After that, we were given a tour of the campus.

The following day was the main event – the Vietnam Job Fair! We had our booth, but unfortunately, it was not as crowded as the Japan Job Fair in Jakarta, which I had attended a year ago.

Of course, during our spare time, we didn’t forget to try Vietnamese delicacies. Apparently, the job fair venue was close to many restaurants, and compared to Japanese food prices, it was quite affordable!
We tried their noodle soup, Phở, grilled pork with rice vermicelli, Bún chả, their famous spring rolls, Gỏi cuốn, and drinks such as egg coffee, Vietnamese beer and drip coffee.

On the last day, since we had time before our flight, we visited several famous places in Hanoi, such as St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Hanoi Train Street, Hoàn Kiếm Lake, and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.

It was a nice experience. If you have a chance to visit Vietnam, make sure to try their delicacies and be careful on the roads!

Be careful!
